We're a small, Gilgit-Baltistan based team running trips in the mountains we grew up in. Here's how we actually approach safety and planning — and what we ask of you in return.
Every itinerary on this site — from an easy week in Hunza to a K2 base camp trek — is built and run by our own team, not subcontracted out sight unseen. Routes, permits and logistics are handled by people who know the ground, and every trip travels with an experienced guide.
Trips are led by experienced guides who know the specific route — not a generic guide assigned last-minute. For treks and expeditions, this includes porters, cooks and support crew sized to the route.
Trekking, climbing and park permits are arranged as part of your trip — listed explicitly in each tour's "what's included." We handle the paperwork so you don't have to navigate it on arrival.
Domestic flights and high passes in this region are weather-dependent. Our itineraries are built with that reality in mind — buffer days and overland alternatives are built into longer treks and expeditions where it matters.
Your guide stays in touch with our operations base for the duration of your trip. If you have specific questions about communications or emergency planning for a particular route (especially expeditions), ask us directly before booking — we'd rather explain it properly than have you guess.
Travel insurance. Required for all treks and expeditions, strongly recommended for every trip. It should cover the altitude and activity level of your specific itinerary. This is never included in our pricing — arrange it before you travel.
Honest fitness self-assessment. Each tour page lists a difficulty rating. If you're unsure whether a trip matches your fitness or experience level, tell us before booking, not on day one of the trek.
Personal gear for treks. For trekking and expedition itineraries, personal equipment (boots, layers, sleeping bag where relevant) is typically excluded — check the specific tour page for what to bring.
We actively work with local guides, porters and suppliers first, and favour private, off-the-beaten-path routes that spread tourism's benefit more widely and reduce pressure on any single village or trail. That's not a marketing line — it's how a two-office, Gilgit-based team naturally operates, and we intend to keep it that way as we grow.
Send us your rough dates and group size. We'll come back with a tailored route, a firm quote and the best weather window — usually within a day.
