Itinerary

Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, you will be greeted by the Tour De Rakaposhi team and transferred to a centrally located hotel for check-in.
Overnight stay in Islamabad.

After breakfast, drive to Chilas along the Karakoram Highway, with a stop at Shatial Rock Carvings for a cultural experience. Continue the journey and arrive in Chilas for check-in at the hotel.

Drive to Karimabad in the morning, stopping at the junction point where the three great mountain ranges meet. Enjoy a lunch break at the Rakaposhi viewpoint before continuing to Karimabad. Check-in at the hotel.

Visit Baltit and Altit forts, then embark on a short trek along the Barbar water channel, offering stunning views of Diran Peak, Rakaposhi, and Golden Peak. Later, drive to Hopper Nagar, with an exciting 100-minute jeep ride through Hunza and Nagar valleys. Overnight in a simple lodge on the outskirts of Hopper village.

Leave Hopper and cross the Bualter Glacier, trekking on grassy hillsides above the Barpu Glacier. After 4 hours, reach the shepherd’s settlement of Hapukun and continue for an additional hour to Hamdar. After crossing the glacier, arrive at the campsite between the Bualter and Barpu Glaciers at 3000m.

Cross the Barpu Glacier, which is easier than the Bualter, then trek to the shepherd’s settlement of Chukutans for a lunch stop. Continue on a well-maintained path towards Brikchour, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of Ultar, Diran, and Spantik peaks.

Embark on a steep and challenging ascent to Rush Lake, which takes about 6 hours. The trail leads to the crest of the ridge, offering breathtaking views of the Hispar Glacier.

Start early for the ascent of Rush Peak. The trail is relatively easy except for the final 150m to the summit. If conditions are favorable, it takes 3-4 hours to reach the top. Enjoy panoramic views of distant peaks before returning to camp.

Take a free morning for photography, nature walks, or simply enjoying the stunning surroundings. In the afternoon, descend via the same route, which takes 3-4 hours.

Trek on the east side of the Barpu Glacier and cross the Bualter Glacier. After reaching Hopper village, drive to Gulmit, stopping at Attabad Lake for sightseeing.

Visit the Hussaini Suspension Bridges and continue to Upper Borith for a walk with views of the Passu White Glacier. Afterward, head to Passu village for a visit before returning to Gulmit.

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Khunjerab Pass, the highest point on the Karakoram Highway at 4733m. Experience breathtaking views of the Karakoram and Pamir mountain ranges. Visit the Khunjerab National Park and spot wildlife such as Markhor and Himalayan Ibex.
Return to Gulmit in the evening for an overnight stay.

Fly back to Islamabad (weather permitting), or take a road trip via the Karakoram Highway if the flight is canceled. In case of road travel, enjoy the mesmerizing landscape along the route. Arrive in Islamabad and check in at a hotel.

Visit Islamabad's main attractions, including the Shah Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, and Daman-e-Koh viewpoint. After a farewell dinner, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
